شارك احد منتسبي القسم في مماسة ميدانية حول مشاكل الاطفاء والوقاية الذاتية التي اقيمت داخل جامعة النهرين حيث تم تدريبهم على الممارسة الميدانية وتطبيقها في حال حدوث حوادث طارئة داخل المؤسسة هدفت الدورة الى معرفة طرق ووسائل اطفاء الحرائق كلاً حسب طبيعة الاحتراق و كيفية التعامل بالمواد المخصصة والاهتمام بالوقاية الصحية من خلال تجهيزات الحماية الخاصة والتأكيد على المنتسبين بإطفاء الاجهزة الكهربائية بعد مغادرة المؤسسة
